Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-07-12

This Privacy Policy explains how Binged Shop collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit binged.shop or place an order, and the rights you have under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA). For any privacy request, contact us at info@binged.shop.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Binged Shop, operator of Binged Shop, is the controller of the personal data described here. We can be reached at info@binged.shop for any question about this policy or to exercise your rights.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the store and fulfill your orders:

  • Contact details: name and email address (and phone number if you provide it) used to confirm orders and send updates.
  • Shipping details: the postal address and recipient name you enter so your order can be delivered.
  • Order details: the items, quantities, prices, and order history associated with your purchases.
  • Payment data: your card and billing details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we receive only a token and limited confirmation data (such as the last four digits and card brand).
  • Communications: the content of messages you send us, such as support requests or claims.
  • Technical and usage data: device, browser, and privacy-respecting analytics data, collected as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use your data and our lawful bases

Under GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, and to provide customer support.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax, accounting, and transaction records and to comply with consumer-protection law.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the site, prevent fraud, and improve our products and service, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent: to set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, and to send marketing emails where required — you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Service providers (processors) we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the vendors needed to operate the store, each acting under a data-processing agreement and only to the extent required to perform their service:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Receives payment and billing information to charge your order and prevent fraud.
  • CJ Dropshipping (our fulfillment supplier) — order fulfillment and shipping. Receives your name, shipping address, and order contents to pick, pack, and deliver your items.
  • Resend — transactional and, where you have opted in, marketing email delivery. Receives your email address and order-related content.
  • Plausible — privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics used to understand aggregate traffic. It does not track you across sites or build advertising profiles.
  • Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel — optional analytics and marketing measurement that load only after you consent via our cookie banner, and never before.

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. Optional analytics and marketing tools run only with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — ask us to erase your data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Objection and restriction — object to or limit certain processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Opt out — withdraw consent to analytics or marketing, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do neither, but the right is honored).
  • Non-discrimination — you will receive the same service and pricing whether or not you exercise these rights.

To make a request, email info@binged.shop. We will verify your identity, respond within the timeframes required by law, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.

7. Data retention

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide support, and meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations — typically several years as required by applicable law. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, and analytics data is retained in aggregate. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. International data transfers

Because our providers operate globally, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where we transfer data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and applicable data-privacy frameworks.

9. Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and where required we will seek your renewed consent. Questions can always be sent to info@binged.shop.
